Job Description
Verve Industrial Protection is seeking a dynamic individual to support client accounts. The role of the Systems Engineer: Cyber Security is to work closely with our clients to deploy and manage the Verve Security Center cyber security platform as well as proactively monitor and maintain associated hardware and software in industrial control system environments. The candidate will work as part of a larger project team and must be able to maintain critical deadlines with minimal supervision. This role has significant client-facing responsibilities, and therefore requires an individual committed to our client first mindset.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage the Verve Security Center software to address client cyber security needs
- Maintain, configure, update, and patch security applications
- Troubleshoot unique challenges
- Basic configuration of switches, routers and firewalls
- Conduct hardware and software upgrades/replacements.
- Work closely in-person and over the phone with clients to communicate progress both verbally and written, problem solve, and develop solutions
Qualifications
- Two-year or four-year degree in engineering, computer science, cyber security or technology related field.
- Experience with administration, integration, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of hardware and software
- Experience deploying and configuring Windows Operating Systems (Linux OS experience a plus)
- Skills and background with VMware and Hyper-V
- Proficiency with Windows Administration and Windows Server
- Ability to review and configure Cisco networking equipment such as switches, routers and firewalls
- Very strong troubleshooting techniques and problem solving skills
- Experience with IBM BigFix a plus
- Industrial control system knowledge and experience a plus
